The popular drama "Northward" was filmed at Bacheng Old Street in Kunshan! Also known as the "Kunqu Town," the old street is not very large but is truly a hidden gem of the Jiangnan water town.
Decode Bacheng Old Street with "Northward":
▫️ Feiniaochaguan (Flying Bird Teahouse): The teahouse where the youths often gather in the drama. Sitting at the original wood tea table and ordering a pot of tea feels like traveling back to the warm moments in the show.
▫️ Yixiantian Stone Slab Street: This 280-meter-long Qing Dynasty ancient street is narrow enough for only three people to walk side by side at its tightest point. The bluestone pavement has been polished smooth by time, and the scenes of the youths running were filmed here. Dahuazi’s shop is located on this street.
▫️ Canal Family Restaurant: The same restaurant as in the drama, even the name remains unchanged! Unfortunately, you can’t taste the Huaiyang cuisine from the show, but you can buy an oily cake to satisfy your drama cravings:
🅿️ Transportation: Self-driving is recommended, navigate to "Bacheng Old Street Parking Lot"
