[Hokkaido] Kushiro

#DomesticTrip

Kushiro City is a city located on the Pacific coast of eastern Hokkaido (Doto region).
Here are some of the spots I visited when I visited Kushiro.

📍Spot Information

#Nesimabashi Bridge
As it is said to be one of the "Three Great Sunsets in the World," I was able to see a special sunset.
The reason the entire sky turns bright red is because the water vapor from the sea and the marshland combine.
This is unique to Kushiro.

#KushiroMarsh #HosookaObservatory
I took the Norokko train to Hosooka Observatory in the Kushiro Marsh.
The Norokko train means a slow-moving trolley.
As per the concept, it slows down at the viewpoints.
The interior of the train was decorated with objects of cranes and Ezo deer.

You can see the Kushiro River meandering through the Kushiro Marsh and the vast Kushiro Marsh.
(Unfortunately, it's difficult to convey its grandeur in a photo.)
The Kushiro Marsh Station, with its cute log cabin-style station building, is also one of the highlights.

Kushiro Underground Pedestrian Art Museum
This is a wall art museum made using the underground walkway.
It's a great initiative that brightens up the bleak and slightly dim underground passage!
