Japan Hokkaido Lake Akan

#Japan Attractions
Lake Akan is a lake in Akan National Park in Kushiro, Hokkaido, Japan. Its clarity was 8 to 9 meters in the 1930s. At the same time, the transparency of Lake Mashu, not far from it, was 41.6 meters. In recent decades, pollution from local hot spring resorts has reduced transparency to 3 to 4 meters, and although Lake Mashu has also reduced its transparency, it still remains at 20 to 30 meters.
In winter, most of Lake Akan's surface has already been frozen into thick ice and then covered with heavy snow. The lake surface near the shore has become a temporary parking lot. Tourists who drive here can just park here, and it's free.
Ice fishing may be one of the most popular experiences in Lake Akan in winter. Merchants have set up many tents here, and anglers pay to go in. The tents are of different sizes according to the needs of tourists, ranging from single tents to tents for more than ten people.
There are also ice scooters and other activities, but compared to fishing, there are fewer customers who enjoy these activities. #Overseas Travel #Japan Travel #Hokkaido Travel #Winter Travel #Ice and Snow World #Ice and Snow World #Lake #Wild Fishing #Akan Yuku no Sato Tsuruga
