After shopping at Metroplaza in Kwai Fong, we were looking for a place to have lunch. Everyone wanted Taiwanese cuisine, so we chose this Taiwanese restaurant with a semi-open layout, exuding a street food stall vibe. The advertisements at the entrance and inside the restaurant have a distinctive Taiwanese flair. They offer a variety of lunch sets and snacks at very reasonable prices. The restaurant specializes in braised dishes, which we love, so we ordered two bento boxes.
Secret Braised Chicken Wings Bento
The braised chicken wings are large, with four pieces. The skin is smooth and crispy, and the meat is thick and flavorful, absorbing the braised sauce well. The salty and sweet flavors are well-balanced. It also comes with shredded chicken snacks and kelp soup. The rice is soft and smooth, and mixing it with the braised sauce makes it even more delicious.
Taiwanese Braised Beef Tendon and Honeycomb Tripe Bento
The beef tendon is large and well-braised, tender and flavorful. The meat is soft and not chewy, with a good bite. The honeycomb tripe is tender and crispy, with a special sauce that gives it a chewy and flavorful texture. It also comes with shredded chicken snacks and kelp soup, and the portion is very generous.
