Kiyomizu and Three-story Pagoda

This is the three-story pagoda of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, one of Kyoto's most iconic tourist attractions.

At night, the tower glows a beautiful red in the dark. ✨

Also, as you can see in the second photo, the night view of Kyoto city from here is spectacular. 🏙 Kyoto Tower is obviously the most prominent, but you can also see many other buildings.

Access: 30-minute bus ride from Kyoto Station to Gojozaka bus stop, then a 10-minute walk from Gojozaka bus stop. 30-minute walk from Keihan Kiyomizu-Gojo Station or Gion-Shijo Station.

If you're using public transportation, you'll need to walk a certain distance, so it's best to allow extra time.
