Chicken dishes in a traditional Japanese house in Kyoto.

I found this restaurant when I was walking around the area after getting hungry after a walk around the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

This izakaya was renovated from an old house, and you can feel the old-fashioned Japanese houses here and there.

The atmosphere of drinking at the U-shaped counter is also nice.

You can eat delicious yakitori while feeling the good old Japanese atmosphere rather than Kyoto.

Although it is a popular restaurant, the location also gives it a hidden feel, which I liked.

Many restaurants around here are closed on Sundays, but this restaurant is open until 11pm on Sundays.

Lunch is also a great deal.
Orders stop at 1pm, so I recommend going early.

672-2 Seimei-cho, Chuo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture 604-0951

Near the Kyoto Imperial Palace.
