Qinshan Island is one of the few offshore islands in Jiangsu Province, approximately 8 kilometers from Ganyu Coastal New Town and 10 kilometers from Haitou Port. It covers an area of approximately 0.17 square kilometers and has a coastline of approximately 2.8 kilometers. Home to over 20 major attractions, including Qizi Bay, Qinshan Divine Road, Shouzhu Terrace, and Xufu Well, the island has earned the reputation of "Qinshan Ancient Island, Yellow Sea Wonderland."
Qinshan Island is located in Ganyu District, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, on the surface of the Yellow Sea 15.3 kilometers east of Ganyu New City District, with an area of 0.1928 square kilometers. The island is long and narrow, with a single-sided mountain shape, 1,000 meters long from east to west and 200 meters wide. It is divided into three peaks: East, Middle and West. The West Peak is 37 meters high, and the Middle Peak is adjacent to the West Peak and is 32 meters high. The East Peak is the main peak, 56 meters high, and is more than a kilometer away from the Middle Peak. It is the flattest and most prosperous area on the island. The original garrison barracks were concentrated here, and are now rented by fishermen.
In April 2011, Qinshan Island was included in my country's first batch of uninhabited islands for development and utilization by the State Oceanic Administration. It was the first island in Jiangsu Province to apply for special national funding for remediation and restoration. In November 2018, the Qinshan Island Scenic Area was approved as a national 3A-level tourist attraction.
