Getting around Arashiyama

There are many things to see in Kyoto, but I think Arashiyama is a spot you can enjoy for a whole day.
You can get there by bus, but it takes about 50 minutes and there is a risk of traffic jams during tourist season, so the recommended access is to take the JR Sagano Line from Kyoto Station to Saga-Arashiyama Station, and the rapid train will take you there in about 11 minutes.
When you arrive at Saga-Arashiyama Station, it is recommended that you make a reservation if you are going to take the trolley. The trolley departs from Torokko Saga Station.
Torokko Saga Station is adjacent to Saga-Arashiyama Station, so you can get there quickly.
Make a reservation and walk around Arashiyama until the time for the trolley to depart.
About a 10-minute walk from the station, you will find Nonomiya Shrine, which is famous for matchmaking, Tenryu-ji Temple, and a walking trail through the bamboo forest.
If you walk a little further, you will see Togetsukyo Bridge. There are souvenir shops and restaurants here and there, so you can enjoy walking while you walk.
There are many restaurants, but they tend to get crowded, so if you just want a light tea break we recommend Arashiyama OMOKAGE Terrace.
It has a garden, and we recommend the terrace seats on sunny days.
You can relax in a quiet space.
