Kamo-Mioya Shrine (Shimogamo Shrine), along with Kamo-Wakeikazuchi Shrine (Kamigamo Shrine), enshrined upstream on the Kamo River, are said to be the oldest shrines in Kyoto!

The approach to the shrine is surrounded by lush greenery and is called Tadasu-no-Mori, and is an astounding 124,000 square meters in size.
