Kitano Tenmangu Shrine and Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine are both the head shrines of Tenmangu Shrines in Japan and the center of Tenjin faith. The main deity is the god of learning, Sugawara Michizane.
Mitoi (Red Leaves Garden) is open to the public only at certain times of the year. First in early summer from early May to late June, and then in autumn from late October to early December. When the red leaves are in autumn, the garden is covered with red maple leaves.
🍁 The Red Leaves Garden ticket comes with a tea and fruit voucher, which can be exchanged for a fruit at the tea shop in the garden, and hot tea is also free.
