Commonly referred to as "Tenjin-san" or "Kitano-san," this shrine is one of approximately 12,000 shrines dedicated to Tenmangu, Tenjin, and Sugawara across Japan. Alongside Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine in Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, it serves as a central hub for Tenjin worship, with branches established nationwide. In recent years, it has become a popular destination for students seeking blessings for academic success.
