Kyoto|Summer in Kamogawa: I want time to stop here🍃

Avoid the crowds during the holidays and experience a slower pace of life at Kamogawa.

The Kamogawa River is a major waterway running through Kyoto. Each section offers a different view, and each season offers a different scenery.

I've seen the Kamogawa River during cherry blossom season, but I prefer the refreshing greenery of summer. It feels like stepping into a Japanese drama. It's so quiet and relaxing.

There are many ways to enjoy the Kamogawa River. Besides walking, you can also run or cycle.

My favorite is the section with the upper reaches of the Kamogawa River. It's right across from Demachiyanagi Station. You can also try "turtle jumping." Nearby, you can visit Shimogamo Shrine.

If you're in Kyoto, why not take a stroll here?
