[Kyoto] A blessed day that comes every summer

📍Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Kyoto
Kyoto's famous tourist spot
Here at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, the "Sennichimairi" is held every year from August 9th to 16th. The summer Sennichimairi is the day of greatest merit for Kannon, who is said to receive the benefits of a thousand days' worth of blessings with one day of worship🤍💫
During this period, special viewing of the inner sanctum of the main hall is also held.
I've been going there for almost 10 years now, and it has become an annual event☺️It is said that Murasaki Shikibu and Sei Shonagon also went there during the Heian period.
Photography is prohibited inside the main hall.
The wind from the Nambu iron wind chimes at the entrance feels soothing🎐

There are also charms that can only be obtained by those who come to the Sennichimairi pilgrimage💙

Every year from August 9th to 16th (special viewing of the inner sanctuary of the main hall)

(9:00-17:00 reception closes)

※ Night viewing is possible from the 14th to the 16th

(21:00 reception closes)

Night viewing is also available from August 14th to 16th, and since the 16th is Gozan Okuri Day, you can also see it from Kiyomizu-dera☺️ Add excitement to your daily life🌙:
