📍 Higashiyama area has beautiful narrow streets. Take a romantic walk together, exploring many local shops and temples. Here you can find To-ji, Kiyomizu-dera and more!

📍 Sit by the Kamo River and enjoy the tranquil vibe. There are always many couples hanging out by the river and it’s a very peaceful environment. Take a drink and stay to watch sunset and see the lights when it gets dark.

📍 Take an evening walk around the city. Late at night there are almost no tourists around, especially at the temples. At Kiyomizu-dera at 10pm, I only saw two other people!

📍 Arashiyama is a 30 minute metro ride to the West of Kyoto. It feels like its own little magical world, with the bamboo forest to explore and then walking along the river too. There are some secret spots to sit and chill next to the river a little further upstream.
