Yasaka Shrine

visited this shrine for a hike, having read online about a trail leading to a sky deck with panoramic views over Kyoto. Starting at the shrine's base, we navigated our way upward using the map guide, ascending several staircases that eventually gave way to a path winding through the trees. This path culminated at a temple atop the hill, offering a stunning vista of the city. Access to the viewing platform required a small fee, but it was well worth it. After taking in the scenery, we descended and noted the crowds that had gathered by 10 AM, along with food vendors setting up for the day. It's a popular location, but early morning visits offer a serene and cooler hiking experience.
