Kiyomizu-dera Temple

It is a famous temple, one of the national treasures of Japan.
It is located on the west side of Kyoto.
(On the same side as Kinkakuji Temple)

This temple has a history of more than 1,200 years.

But the building we see today is a building that was built
about 380 years ago.

The highlight of Kiyomizu Temple that cannot be missed is
The large wooden building and the 13-meter-high balcony.

There is a legend in the Edo period about jumping
from this balcony that says

"If anyone survives jumping from this balcony

Their wish will come true."

And there really are people who survived.

However, jumping is prohibited now.
