🇯🇵One-day tour in Kyoto: Quietly experience the charm of the ancient capital⛩️

Although this day in Kyoto is not long, every place is so delicious that you can’t help but slow down and slowly feel the unique charm of this city.

The first stop was Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, and as soon as I reached the door I could already feel its shock. The most iconic Chibon Torii ⛩️ Red torii extend in rows into the mountains and forests, looking very layered and spectacular. After walking in, although there are quite a lot of tourists, there are some quiet moments every now and then, listening to the sound of the wind blowing through the leaves, I feel particularly comfortable. If I'm not in a hurry, I actually want to walk all the way to the top of the mountain and see the scenery from different angles. Unfortunately, this time I have limited time, so I can only leave it for my next visit.

Then I went to Kiyomizu Temple, and when I walked up the road, I started to feel the ancient atmosphere of Kyoto. Go to the Clear Water Stage and look out with a wide view. Although the weather was not the most beautiful that day, you will feel relaxed and happy looking at a large view in the distance. There are many places worth slowly admiring in Kiyomizu Temple, such as Otowa Falls. I heard that drinking the water here can bring different good luck. Seeing many people queuing up, I couldn't help but want to try it.

After leaving Kiyomizu-dera Temple, walk down Nienenzaka and Sannenzaka, which is really full of Kyoto characteristics. There are traditional wooden buildings on both sides, and the small shops sell souvenirs, wagashi, and crafts. I love this feeling of quiet walking down the street, watching while walking, no rush, completely immersed in the atmosphere of Kyoto.

Although it was only a day trip, you already felt the rich history and unique atmosphere of Kyoto. The city has a quiet but powerful charm that doesn’t require special sightseeing and is comfortable to walk around casually. If I have the chance to come again, I will definitely choose more time and slowly explore more places I have never been to. #January Good Places 2025 #Kyoto
