[Kyoto] Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, one of Japan's three great Tenmangu Shrines, enshrines Fujiwara no Michizane, the god of learning

#Spring0yenTrip
Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is famous as a shrine dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning. When I visited, it was exam season, and many students came to pray for success, and votive plaques were lined up in the precincts. The main hall had a heavy feel, and the gold and red decorations were beautiful, giving it a historic appearance. There are many plum trees planted in the precincts related to Michizane, and they are said to be in full bloom at this time of year, so I would like to visit again in a different season. As I walked through the grounds, I saw many cow statues, and many people were stroking them. It is said that stroking the head in particular will grant you wisdom, so I stroked it myself. As I walked through the quiet approach to the shrine, I was able to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend some time at a shrine where my heart felt calm.
