Fushimi Inari Taisha, a renowned landmark in Kyoto.

Fushimi Inari Taisha boasts a history of over 1,300 years and is a representative attraction of Kyoto and Japan.

The shrine is dedicated to the deity Inari Okami. Its main hall is recognized as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. Additionally, the shrine includes Lower Shrine, Middle Shrine, Upper Shrine, and Tanaka Shrine.

Located on Mount Inari, the area features sacred sites, divine relics, burial mounds, and torii gates⛩️. The most famous attraction is the "Senbon Torii" (Thousand Torii Gates), a stunning row of vermilion torii gates that draws numerous visitors. For a chance to capture photos of the gates without crowds, it’s best to venture deeper into the area where fewer people gather. Exploring the entire shrine takes approximately two hours. On the mountain, you can find beautifully hand-drawn postcards that are unavailable elsewhere, making them a worthwhile souvenir.

It is said that foxes are the messengers of Inari Okami, so the shrine features many fox🦊 statues. Even the ema (wooden prayer plaques) are shaped like fox heads, allowing visitors to creatively draw their own fox expressions.

After your visit, you can stroll along the Omotesando shopping street, which offers various fox-themed souvenirs such as snacks, socks🧦, and small ornaments. You can also find exclusive Fushimi Inari Taisha-themed Chiikawa merchandise.
