[Kyoto] Rabbit Shrine🐰⛩️

📍Kyoto Prefecture

Okazaki Shrine, famous as the "Rabbit Shrine"

Since wild rabbits used to live in this area, rabbits became messengers of the local deity, and the grounds are filled with rabbits, such as the Koma Usagi and Chozuya.

The charms and fortune-telling slips are also rabbit-themed.

Since rabbits are prolific, it is a popular spot for praying for fertility and safe childbirth.

Especially during the zodiac period, there are long lines...

Eikando Temple is nearby, so we went there during the autumn leaves season and while waiting for lunch.
It's just the right size and compact size to walk to!
