#Kyoto Sakura

A famous cherry blossom viewing spot in Kyoto, "Osawa Pond" is located in the deep forest of Saga Arashiyama. It is the oldest pond-style strolling garden in Japan. It was built based on the model of China's Dongting Lake, so it is also known as the "Tei Lake". It has a circumference of about one kilometer and there are two floating islands in the pond. Cherry blossoms, pine trees and maple leaves are planted on the shore. In spring, Osawa Pond is a famous spot for cherry blossom viewing, and in autumn it is a great place to view red leaves. It is also a great place to enjoy the moon.

To get there, take the No. 28 city bus from JR Kyoto Station. The ride takes about 28 minutes and you get off at Daikakuji Station. The entrance ticket is ¥200 and the Daikaku-ji Temple ticket is ¥500. It is highly recommended to visit this place when you visit Arashiyama.
