A little luxurious break between sightseeing in Kyoto

Zen Cafe is a teahouse overlooking the courtyard in a 300-year-old Edo-period machiya townhouse facing Muromachi Street.

From the moment you enter the shop, you'll think, "Ah, I love this place..." because of the calm and stylish atmosphere.

It has a modern, clean design while still retaining the feel of an old Kyoto house, and it was very tasteful.

This was when I went in March, but now they have changed to a seasonal matcha menu 🍃
