God bless you in the summer + eat delicious food! 🍜⛩️Kyoto Kifune Shrine Chill Day Trip Diary

In the hot summer, the best way to escape the heat is not to hide in an air-conditioned room, but to rush directly into the mountains of Kyoto - I'm talking about the super dreamy #Kifune-jinja Shrine! 🌿
This trip can be said to be a combination of sacredness, coolness, food, and check-in. I really want to give it six stars✨

⛩️ First stop: Kifune-jinja Shrine itself is super cool

The red lantern stairs of Kifune-jinja Shrine are really a great place to check in. Just climbing the stairs is like walking on a sacred catwalk👑. Once you get here, it's obviously several degrees cooler than the city. The forest breeze automatically turns on, and the air is so good that you want to live in the trees!

You can pray for marriage and water luck at the shrine (not water skiing, but drinking water), and there is also the legendary "water divination" - put the fortune stick into the water, and the gods will help you float out the result of your fate. My result was "love success"...so single dogs are saved🐶❤️

🍜 Lunch is the most enjoyable thing in the whole stream: kawabe cuisine!

The highlight is here! Walk to the kawabe restaurant next to the shrine and dine directly on the stream. There is flowing cold stream water under your feet, and the air is mixed with the sound of running water + the aroma of Japanese cuisine. The sense of happiness is off the charts!
And I didn't sweat after eating the whole set, isn't it a miracle!

📸 Tips for checking in

📷 Lantern Stairs: Wear a kimono and walk on the red lantern stairs of Kibune Shrine. Just look back and smile and you will get likes~
📷 Food photos on the riverbed: Put your feet in the water + pose for Japanese food, 100% awesome Japanese summer vacation vibe
📷 Selfie with a forest feel: This place is full of greenery, and selfies are like Japanese drama posters!

💡Tips for Kibune Travel

🔸Transportation: Take the tram from downtown Kyoto to Kibune-guchi Station, then transfer to a bus or hike up the mountain, which takes about an hour and is super chill
🔸Wear light shoes: There are a lot of stone steps at the shrine, please don’t wear thick-soled slippers... My friend almost fell into the water.
🔸Be sure to make a reservation for the riverbed cuisine! It is very popular in summer, and you won’t be able to eat it without a reservation! Kawase cuisine is usually only available in July and August, so remember not to get the timing wrong.

In short, this #Kifune trip is really a great way to escape the heat of the city in summer. The food is elegant, the worship is sincere, and the photos are beautiful. I am ready to come again next summer~🌿
(P.S. If love is really successful, I will come back and leave a message to tell everyone😆)
