Autumn Leaves in Arashiyama, Kyoto

In the last week of November, I visited Arashiyama in Kyoto to enjoy the autumn foliage. Anticipating crowds, I arrived in Arashiyama before 8 AM and headed to Yusai-tei, which I had reserved in advance.

Since there were still few people around, I was able to leisurely admire the autumn leaves bathed in the morning sunlight. Kyoto tends to get very crowded during this season, so I highly recommend starting your activities early in the morning.

Although I had a reservation, I had to wait a bit at the entrance before being allowed inside. The autumn leaves were slightly late this year, and even by the end of November, they hadn't fully turned. Nevertheless, the scenery was stunning, and I ended up taking numerous photos.

This spot offers a quintessentially Japanese autumn view, and while there is an admission fee, it is highly recommended for enjoying the autumn foliage.
