Wanhua Mountain is located in Dufuchuanhuayuantou Village, 40 miles southwest of Yan'an City in northern Shaanxi Province. Wanhua Mountain is covered with rare and precious original peonies (Yanchuan Red) and blue sky cypresses. There are many pavilions, corridors and terraces in the winding mountain.
Wanhua Mountain boasts beautiful scenery and fascinating legends. Key attractions include the Fujun Temple, the Peony Kingdom, the Mulan Cemetery, the Collection of Flowers, the artificial lake, the Five Dragon Cypresses, and the Zoumaliang. The Fujun Temple, located at the northern foot of the mountain's main peak, consists of two cave-like rooms. Within the temple grounds, two cypress trees and two clusters of peonies create a symmetrical pattern.
The main attractions of Wanhua Mountain include the Peony Garden, Wanhua Lake, Cui Fujun Temple, Mulan's hometown, and Hua Mulan Cemetery. In addition to hiking and enjoying the flowers, you can also take a boat tour on Mudan Lake.
Wanhua Mountain boasts three majestic peaks and is blessed with natural beauty. The main attraction of a visit to Wanhua Mountain is the peonies. In this peony garden, the peonies bloom from the beginning of summer ( early May ) and gradually wither after the full bloom ( late May), lasting for nearly a month .

The mountain can get crowded on weekends and public holidays. The least crowded times are early mornings on weekdays, especially in the off-season.
Basic facilities such as toilets and rest areas are available. There are small food vendors selling snacks and drinks, but there are no major restaurants or shops inside the park.
The trails to the summit may be difficult for elderly or disabled visitors, but there are paved paths near the base. The main temples and rest areas are accessible to all visitors, including children.
