Miaoji Bridge is located in Dongyuan Village, Zhaoxian Town, along the Wanli District to Dianqian Highway. Despite its age, it remains remarkably well-preserved, appearing as if newly built. It is currently the best-preserved ancient bridge in Nanchang.
The bridge was first built in the Dingchou year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1644). The inscription on the bridge stele reads "Jiaqing Dingchou" and "Auspicious Day of the Autumn Moon." The bridge is a single-arch stone arch with twelve stone columns, each capped with a lifelike lion sculpture. Initially, the bridge was not primarily intended for transportation, but rather for feng shui.
The subtropical monsoon climate makes it suitable for travel in all four seasons.
It is suitable for appreciating the architectural style of the ancient bridge, enjoying the scenery and understanding the history.
It is recommended to play for about 2 hours.
