Kyoto Kōmyō-in: A Radiant Serenity Amidst Stillness

During my trip to Kyoto, the place that left the deepest impression on me was unexpectedly 'Kōmyō-in.' The entrance had a modest appearance, but stepping inside revealed an entirely different world. The garden was blanketed in green moss, resembling a lush green carpet, and even a single fallen maple leaf on it looked like a painting.
With few visitors around, the tranquility allowed the sounds of nature to be heard clearly. The rustling of leaves in the wind, the distant sound of water, and even the sound of my own footsteps made me tread carefully, so as not to disturb the serene atmosphere.
Unlike the grandeur of Kinkaku-ji or Ginkaku-ji, Kōmyō-in offered a quiet and profound sense of Kyoto's essence. It was a moment that reminded me of how nature can gently and beautifully heal the human spirit.
