this matcha specialist is tucked in the streets of Gion, it is an old building that retained former structures. Visitors are required to take their shoes off upon entry and the dining area is split into two, both in tatami style!
their signature is the warabi mochi - and being in Kyoto, it’s to no surprised i tried out its matcha flavour, which was soo delicious, especially when added with the brown sugar syrup (kuromitsu)
the other item we got was the rice flour dumping with red beans, the rice bean dumplings itself doesn’t boast much flavours but matches splendidly with the red bean! 🫘 for a place with such rich history , i think the total experience was super worth it 💚
