During my trip to Kyoto, I stopped by Kaikado Café—a beautifully renovated café housed in a Registered Tangible Cultural Property. The building seamlessly blends heritage architecture with sleek, modern design, offering a space that feels both timeless and fresh.

Inside, the ceilings are high, the atmosphere is filled with natural light, and the entire space feels calm and inviting. I ordered a coffee float and a matcha latte—and let me just say, that matcha latte was incredible. Rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, it was so good I finished it in no time.

If you’re looking for a quiet moment in Kyoto with great drinks and stunning surroundings, this café is definitely worth the visit.
