Keihanna Memorial Park and Suikeien

This is a photo of Suikeien in Keihanna Memorial Park, located in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture, near the border with Nara Prefecture.

The photo was taken in late November, when the autumn leaves were in full bloom!

The bridge called Kangetsukyo is 123m long and 4m wide, and stands 10m above the water surface. From above, you can see the water terraces that form a rice-terrace pond, and from below, you can see the entire bridge.

From early to late November, the autumn leaves are lit up after sunset, and the Kangetsukyo Bridge is also lit up at that time.

The admission fee to this Suikeien is 200 yen for adults, 100 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and free for those over 60 years old who show a certificate.

Access: About 9 minutes by bus from JR Hosono Station and Kintetsu Shinhosono Station. 15 minutes by bus from Kintetsu Gakuken Nara Tomigaoka Station.
