Clothing

Baishi Mountain is at a high altitude with a large temperature difference between day and night. Even if you visit in summer, you should prepare a thick jacket, long pants, and comfortable sports shoes for hiking.

Itinerary

Day 1: Beijing - Laiyuan - Foot of Baishi Mountain

● Morning: Depart from Beijing to Laiyuan Baishi Mountain. If driving, the whole trip is about 200 km and takes around 3 hours; alternatively, you can take the high-speed train to Laiyuan Station and then take a taxi to the Baishi Mountain scenic area. Upon arrival, check into your reserved hotel and rest well to relieve travel fatigue.

● Afternoon: Explore the surrounding area to get familiar with the environment and experience the local rural atmosphere. You can visit nearby family orchards to enjoy fruit picking and taste fresh seasonal fruits.

● Evening: Dine at a restaurant near the scenic area and try local specialties such as Laiyuan tofu and rainbow trout. Rest early to prepare for the mountain climbing trip the next day.

Day 2: In-depth Tour of Baishi Mountain Scenic Area

● Morning: After breakfast, head to Baishi Mountain Scenic Area. Purchase tickets (135 RMB/person) and cable car tickets (one-way 70 RMB/person; it is recommended to take the cable car uphill to save energy). After taking the cable car up, start your tour. Follow the main route to admire vivid peak forest landscapes like "Dolphin Emerging from Water" and "Twin Hero Stones," as if entering a natural stone sculpture art museum.

● Noon: Have lunch at a mountain restaurant, enjoying special wild mountain vegetables and other delicacies to replenish energy.

● Afternoon: Challenge the famous glass plank road of Baishi Mountain. It is built on a cliff at an altitude of 1900 meters; walking on it, you face a deep abyss below, which is very thrilling. Then continue to visit other attractions and appreciate the wonders of nature. If you have enough energy, you can go to Feiyunkou, an excellent spot for viewing clouds and mist. If lucky, you can see the beautiful scene of clouds swirling among the mountains. After the tour, take the cable car down.

● Evening: Return near the hotel and enjoy local cuisine again. After dinner, take a walk around to appreciate the rural night scenery.

Day 3: Laiyuan Surrounding Attractions - Return to Beijing

● Morning: Visit Xianrenyu Scenic Area, known as the "Little Guilin of the North." The valley has flowing streams and lush vegetation. Walk along the canyon trail, breathe fresh air, and admire the unique rocks and clear streams.

● Noon: Have lunch at a farmhouse restaurant near the scenic area, tasting authentic farmhouse dishes.

● Afternoon: After finishing the visit to Xianrenyu, pack your luggage, check out of the hotel, and start your journey back to Beijing.
