🚙✨How to travel from Milan to Lake Como✨🚙

Even if you only have one day, you can still explore the islands to your heart's content. Let's see where we went on this trip.

⏰ Morning - Depart from Milano Centrale (it's crowded, so we recommend arriving early). From Milano Centrale → Varenna-Esino, it takes about 1 hour and 4 minutes.
💵 Budget tickets cost around €7-13. From Varenna, you can take a ferry to Bellagio or Menaggio.

🛥️ Once you arrive at Varenna, walk along the path to the port and buy a ticket for the island ferry. The line is incredibly long! 😅

Varenna → Bellagio: ~15 minutes from Varenna-Esino station, which is directly on the lake.
💵• Como tickets start at ~€10-11 one-way (or €20-21 round-trip).

We only visited one island because we didn't have enough time. We recommend staying here for a night or two days to fully explore the island without getting too tired.

📍Things to Know📍
It's recommended to book your train tickets in advance (Trenord or Trenitalia). Booking through Trip.com is super convenient! ✨
• Ferry tickets are easy to buy in advance, with a fixed schedule for the entire day.
• Don't forget your camera, because every angle is a beautiful photo op!
• If you have extra time, try stopping by Villa Carlotta or Villa Balbianello.
