Italy Travel Outfits | Styling Italian Old Money Vibes with One Scarf

For this 🇮🇹 trip, 7 days, 3 cities, 4 outfits, and one 32-inch suitcase, I managed to meet the temperature needs and look great in photos. The key is to keep the outfits simple: one piece or a long dress plus one scarf can subtly create the "old money" style.

1️⃣ Lake Como
White, yellow, and light brown tones best match the quiet luxury of Lake Como.
👗 Elliatt one-shoulder bow mini dress + Ralph Lauren pleated midi skirt + Kelly 25 + Hermès square scarf
This scarf was my most versatile and photogenic accessory throughout the trip. It can be tied on the head, draped over the shoulders, or used as a bag charm, adding a touch of playfulness to simple outfits and effortlessly creating the old money vibe.

2️⃣ Sardinia
At the hotel, the outfits in sight were all light-colored linen with cashmere outerwear, exuding old money vibes. The scarf and big straw hat became the perfect finishing touches.
👗 The first outfit was a linen beaded long dress with a big straw hat, perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
The second outfit was a linen set + Hermès square scarf. The all-white look paired with an orange Hermès scarf tied at the waist made the whole outfit much more lively.
The third outfit was a Norma Kamali mulled wine-colored shirt dress + Amandax yellow silk scarf + RV straw sandals. The yellow scarf was tied around the neck, adding a bit of elegance to the casual look.

3️⃣ Milan
October in Milan is already autumn, so both outfits included jackets.
The first outfit was white tones: gelatopique fleece cardigan + Helsa bustier top + A-line satin long skirt, paired with a white flat-top straw hat. This outfit was complimented by two foreign ladies while taking photos at the cathedral.
The second outfit was an Ellery butterfly sleeve jacket + Hidemi pink mulberry silk midi skirt.

Actually, for travel outfits, besides comfort, the most important thing is harmony with the environment. When the person, clothes, and surroundings blend harmoniously without being flashy but still catching attention, that’s the essence of the Italian old money style.
