A Brave Desert Adventure with a Four-Year-Old

A seven-day, six-night travel diary to the hometown of the stars
Day 1: Shanghai to Lanzhou, sleep at Airport Flower Sea
Day 2: Rent a car at the airport, Lanzhou city center, Waterwheel Garden, ride a sheepskin raft on the Yellow River, Mother Yellow River Sculpture, Gansu Museum.
Lanzhou 🚗 Zhongwei, 🏨 Desert Galaxy
Day 3: Play in the sand at the hotel, Shapotou Scenic Area (desert area + Yellow River area), watch fireworks, participate in the hotel stargazing event
Day 4: Play in the sand and take photos at the hotel, Route 66, Beichangtan, continue stargazing and playing in the sand at night
Day 5: Zhongwei 🚗 Yinchuan, take S218 to see grasslands and herds of cattle and sheep, Western Xia Museum, Helan Mountain Rock Art, 🏨 Sheraton Yinchuan
Day 6: Shuidonggou, ride ox carts, camel carts, bamboo rafts, and boats, sand dune surfing cars, tractor sightseeing vehicles, feed lambs, milk sheep, lasso geese, watch the Northern Xinjiang Tiange performance, archaeological excavation, fire drilling
Day 7: Lanshan Park, take photos and check in, children’s play, return home from Yinchuan

D2-D4: Zhongwei Desert Galaxy
D5-D7: Sheraton Yinchuan

Lanzhou: Lao Bai’s Beef Noodles, Nature Barbecue, Hu’s Steamed Buns, Fangha Specialty Milk Tea
Zhongwei: Xiangshan Lamb, other meals at the hotel (breakfast and dinner included daily)
Yinchuan: Halal Food · Xiangmanyuan, Hongliuzhitan Lamb Barbecue, Wuzhong Xiangdingding Morning Tea, Muxinshuishui Boiled Lamb with Ice
