Unforgettable Boat Day in Le Morne: Dolphins, Snorkelling & Barbecue at Crystal Rock

🏨 The day began with a smooth pickup right from LUX Le Morne Hotel, where their friendly crew welcomed us aboard and set the tone for a perfect day at sea.

🐬 Our first stop was just offshore to spot dolphins in their natural habitat. It was magical to see them swimming freely and the crew was respectful in keeping a safe distance.

🤿 Next, we headed to a nearby coral area for some snorkeling. The water was crystal clear, and we saw plenty of colorful fish and healthy coral formations. If you love the ocean, this part is a must—Mauritius truly has some of the best snorkeling spots I've experienced.

🔥 The highlight of the day was definitely the barbecue lunch near Crystal Rock. This famous volcanic rock formation rises dramatically from the sea, and we anchored nearby for a break. The crew prepared a delicious local-style barbecue right on the boat with fresh seafood, chicken, and even grilled pineapple. Eating with a view of Le Morne Brabant in the background was just incredible.

🏝 This area is not only stunning - it’s also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It stands as a symbol of freedom, as it was once a refuge for runaway slaves in the 18th and 19th centuries. Being surrounded by such natural beauty with such powerful history made the whole experience even more meaningful.
