Longmu Bay: When the "Most Beautiful Sunset Beach" Meets Noon Time

🍈From Yinggehai to Longmu Bay: Encountering the Melon Homeland

The day before yesterday, I arrived at Fuluo Town, where trucks were constantly passing by and there were many people from Xinjiang. At one spot, a sign read "Hami Melon Trading Center," so we guessed that Xinjiang people must be selling Hami melons here.

However, the scene on the way from Yinggehai Salt Field to Longmu Bay completely changed my perception. On both sides of the road stretched vast expanses of blue greenhouses, sealed tightly, resembling an endless blue ocean. What was being grown inside these greenhouses? Just then, the plastic cover of one greenhouse was partially lifted, so I stopped to take a closer look. Ha, it was green Hami melons🍈!!! The farmers were busy picking and packing. I asked if they sold retail, but the farmer said the boss wasn’t around and casually gave me a small melon. Moving on, I came across another greenhouse where golden-yellow melons were being harvested, and I got two more free small melons. It seems I was inexperienced—this wasn’t Xinjiang Hami melons being sold in Hainan, but rather Hainan’s Hami melons being exported to Xinjiang😀. Fuluo Town’s melons are an important winter and spring melon production area in China, accounting for 80% of the national winter melon market. This magical land of Hainan has everything from tropical durians, coffee, and dragon fruit to even Xinjiang’s Hami melons thriving here—a truly abundant treasure land!

🏖️Longmu Bay: When the "Most Beautiful Sunset Beach" Meets Noon Time

Longmu Bay is known as the "Most Beautiful Sunset Beach," but unfortunately, we arrived at noon and missed the stunning sunset scenery. Following the navigation to "Longmu Bay," we didn’t see the bay at first because you have to go down the roadside steps and pass through the "Wyndham Grand Hotel" to reach the beach. The Wyndham Hotel was not in operation, with many vines climbing its walls and the surroundings looking somewhat desolate.

The midday sun was strong, the sand bleached white by the heat, but the sea was especially blue. The nearby shallow water shimmered with a clear green, and gentle waves lapped the shore. Perhaps because it wasn’t evening, there were few people on the beach and no water sports facilities, but there were a few sculptures on the shore, perfect for photo spots.

Walking barefoot on the sand, it was a bit hot, but the sea breeze quickly cooled me down. Although we didn’t see the legendary sunset, Longmu Bay at noon was very quiet, and the blue sea was soothing to the eyes. This peaceful feeling was actually quite a pleasant surprise. Sometimes travel is like this—the most beautiful scenery appears unexpectedly~
