Itinerary

Day 1: Langde Miao Village - Wudong Miao Village - Baiyan Village

In the morning, you can choose to rent a car or take a carpool to Langde Miao Village to catch the early morning door-blocking wine ceremony and song and dance performances. Langde Miao Village was established at the end of the Yuan and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, with a history of more than 600 years, divided into two natural villages, upper and lower. The "Long Skirt Miao" living here still maintain their ancient and traditional lifestyle. The twelve door-blocking wine ceremonies are the highest form of hospitality here. From the foot of the village road to the village gate at the head, there are twelve wine checkpoints, each with two local bowls, symbolizing blessings of longevity and prosperity. If you are not good at drinking, you can cross your hands behind your back, bend over, lightly touch the wine cup with your lips, and say "Doushe Mo" (Miao language for "thank you") to "pass." After enjoying the enthusiastic Miao song and dance performances, you can stroll around the village for 4-5 hours, experiencing the ancient stilted buildings and cobblestone alleys. For lunch, it is recommended to dine at Caicai’s in Langde Ancient Town to try local specialties.

In the afternoon, head to Wudong Miao Village, located in the middle section of Leigong Mountain at an altitude of 1306 meters, with well-preserved original natural ecology. This Miao village developed as a place of refuge and has nearly 300 years of history. The stilted buildings here are built along the mountains and rivers, very distinctive. After exploring Wudong Miao Village, proceed to Baiyan Village for an overnight stay. Dinner can be enjoyed at Huajie’s home, and accommodation and coffee are recommended at Muyunjian or Sanduoyun, where you can enjoy a peaceful rural night.

Day 2: Baiyan Village - Xiangshuiyan Waterfall - Leishan County - Kaili

Start the morning with a pleasant country walk in Baiyan Village, feeling the tranquility and beauty of the countryside, breathing fresh air, and enjoying the pastoral scenery. In the afternoon, go to Xiangshuiyan Waterfall for creek tracing and water play. The waterfall here is magnificent, surrounded by lush trees, making it a great place to get close to nature. Remember to bring an extra set of clothes for changing after playing in the water. After leaving the waterfall, drive to Leishan County to taste Qiaogang Fish Sauce Sour, a unique flavor that will leave you wanting more. After dinner, return to Kaili and check in at Wenlv Jiatu.
