Nestled among the rolling hills of Leishan County, in Guizhou Province, Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village (西江千户苗寨) is the largest Miao ethnic village in China—and possibly the world.

“Qianhu” literally means “a thousand households,” and this spectacular village lives up to its name, with over a thousand traditional wooden stilt houses cascading down the mountainside like a terraced amphitheater.
