High-temperature fake rush to Qiandao Lake! The scenery is amazing but it's overcrowded, foodies beware

On the last three days of the fake heatwave, lhm forcibly dragged me to Qiandao Lake🌊 After coming back and organizing the photo album, I suddenly want to chat a bit——

The overall experience is pretty much as people online said: the scenery is really stunning! But there aren’t that many attractions～ On Friday evening, we went to Beer Town, barely any people there, and since we drove, we couldn’t drink beer🍻 We drove around twice, took a check-in photo, and left, feeling a bit shortchanged hhh

The Botanical Garden and Tianyu Mountain are definitely worth praising! The greenery is so lush it feels like stepping into a fairy tale forest🌿 The view from Tianyu Mountain is amazing, but on Saturday it was ridiculously crowded! Everyone was rushing to see the sunset at 6 pm, so there was a queue to enter the mountain and the parking lot was full🚗 Luckily, we set off at 5 pm and ended up parking 1.5 km away, then walked all the way there… After watching the sunset, going down was even more intense; we walked for half an hour and only got to the foot of the mountain by 8 pm, exhausted beyond words😭

Sunday was a total lazy day, slept in, had brunch, and then headed back. Who would have thought Qiandao Lake to Hangzhou is just over 100 km but took more than four hours?! The highway was completely jammed, not moving at all, almost lost my mind😅

The biggest disappointment was definitely the food! The three of us are all spicy food lovers, but we don’t like fish… Coming to Qiandao Lake is basically walking into a trap for us🤣 Local dishes are mostly Jiangsu and Zhejiang style, very mild and bland, and the fish all have tiny bones, so we carefully ate at two places but weren’t satisfied. Finally, before leaving, we decisively switched to a Hunan restaurant, and one bite of chopped chili woke us right up🌶️

Summary: Next time I go to a lake destination like this, I’ll definitely book a first-line lake view hotel! Stay in the room with air conditioning, play board games, watch movies📽️ When tired, just lie by the window and enjoy the view, focusing on relaxing completely, no pitfalls and very comfortable～ What do you think of this idea?😉
