Beautiful everywhere in Lijiang

Recommended Lijiang travel itinerary for late rainy season and early winter. Travel period: August 30th - September 2nd, 2025.
Fly directly to Lijiang Airport via Luili Airlines.
Arriving in the evening, take a drive to Suhe Ancient Town. Walk around, take photos, and have dinner there. I recommend the noodle shop in the square where the performance is taking place. Then, check into a hotel in Lijiang City. Most hotels are inexpensive and have very good rooms.
Day 2 of the trip:
Morning, take a half-hour drive to Baisha Ancient Town. There are many restaurants serving grilled yak meat, a signature dish of Lijiang.
From Baisha Ancient Town, take a three-minute drive back the same way to Yundi'an Cafe, the largest and most famous cafe in Lijiang City.
Afternoon, visit Black Dragon Pool, a large public park with many beautiful spots for strolling and taking photos.
In the evening, visit Lijiang Ancient Town, the largest ancient town in Lijiang. There are many shops, restaurants, and a local costume rental shop for great photos.
Day 3: Visit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The air is thin when taking the cable car up. You'll need to purchase canned oxygen for the ascent. It costs 10 yuan at convenience stores in Lijiang City. If you purchase a ticket at the park, it's about 39 yuan.
After descending from Jade Dragon Mountain, you can explore Blue Moon Valley by park vehicle. The highlight here is the beautiful green color of the water.
The last day of the trip is the return flight. Lijiang Airport is a small airport with no restaurants, so travelers must bring their own food from the city.
A must-have for a trip to Lijiang is to study the terrain to determine if it's suitable for you. Lijiang is a highland city, and some people with altitude sickness might not be suitable for this trip. Overall, it's worth it to visit once.
