Guyan Waterfall, known as one of the wonders of Hainan, is worth a visit
1. Location
Guyan Waterfall is located in Jurencun Village, Huangtong Town, Lingao County, Hainan Province. It is named after the Guyan River, and is also known as Juren Waterfall after the village. It is known as the "Three Pools and Nine Bends" and is considered one of the wonders of Hainan.
2. Scenic Area Introduction
The waterfall is formed by a drop in the riverbed, with a height of 20 meters and a width of about 20 meters, creating a magnificent sight. At the top of the west side of the waterfall stand two ancient banyan trees, with several large stones at their base, one of which is inscribed with the words "Mountain Valley Waterfall". The waterfall is surrounded by strange rocks of various shapes, and the trees behind it are lush and green. The waterfall cascades down like a dragon spitting pearls, creating a spectacular sight. In front of the waterfall are two real peacocks for visitors to take photos with, free of charge. Under the strange rocks is a large black cave, known as "Guanyin Cave", where the waterfall cascades down the cliff like smoke and mist, blocking the entrance to the cave, reminiscent of the Water Curtain Cave in Journey to the West. Near the waterfall is a temple dedicated to Lady Xian, where visitors can learn about the local history and culture.
