Hainan's New Twin Stars: The First Indigo Hotel Arrives

If the Kimpton Hainan Clearwater Bay is an elegant gentleman, then the Hotel Indigo Hainan Clearwater Bay is more like a graceful and lively refined lady. When the Hotel Indigo, known for its "neighborhood culture," arrives in Lingshui, Hainan, a legendary journey about pearls, the ocean, and the Tanka people begins.

The hotel features 174 guest rooms, each starting from 56m², with spacious bedrooms. The large beds face private terraces, and the open walk-in closets with curtain partitions resemble fitting rooms in high-end fashion boutiques. Design details incorporate elements like pearls, Li ethnic rattan weaving, and ship cabins. A particular favorite is the umbrella in the room, with its inner lining patterned with waves, pearls, and the Hainan provincial flower, the bougainvillea. The "rain boots" at the entrance area serve as its home.

The hotel has only one restaurant, Seaview, but offers a rich variety of dining options. During breakfast, don’t miss the Hainan-style "Kopi O" (Hainanese for black coffee) and the local Lingshui sour rice noodles. For dinner, the restaurant serves a blind-box hot pot presented in the traditional Hainan bamboo tray style, combining delicious flavors with fun.

Other recreational facilities are shared with the neighboring Kimpton Hotel. A single main building allows guests to experience the distinct vibes of two lifestyle brands—the Kimpton Hainan Clearwater Bay and the Hotel Indigo Hainan Clearwater Bay—making this duo a truly delightful surprise.
