Welcome Ceremony at the Village Gate
Upon arriving at Zhaoxing Dong Village, you will be amazed by the warm "Welcome Ceremony at the Village Gate" hosted by the Dong people. Dressed in traditional attire, young men and women line up, singing melodious toasting songs and offering rice wine to guests from afar. The fragrant rice wine, cheerful lusheng music, and melodious Dong songs represent the highest hospitality of the Dong people.

Singing Practice at the Drum Tower
During leisure time, Dong people often gather under the Drum Tower to practice singing. As a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, Dong Grand Songs are renowned for their multi-part harmony, lack of conductor, and absence of accompaniment. The songs echo within the Drum Tower, narrating the history and legends of the Dong people. Take a moment to sit and listen as the heavenly melodies cleanse your soul.

Window Courting
"Window Courting" is one of the oldest, most unique, and amusing customs of the Dong people, where young men and women freely pursue love and happiness. Unmarried young men bring a niutuiqin (a traditional instrument) and climb to the window of the girl they admire, expressing their affection through music and song. If the girl is interested, she will open the window to talk; if not, no matter how beautiful the music, she will remain unmoved. This ancient and subtle courtship tradition continues in Zhaoxing Dong Village to this day.

Singing and Courting
Singing and Courting is a social and romantic activity for young men and women in Zhaoxing Dong Village. Young men, carrying lutes, gather and head to the song hall where the Dong girls are. When the girls hear the singing and playing from downstairs, they intentionally close the door, requiring the young men to sing and play to "call the door." The girls will only open the door if they are satisfied with the performance.

Ethnic Dance Experience
In Zhaoxing Dong Village, known as the "Land of Songs and Dances," you must experience the Dong people's dances firsthand! Learn to dance the "Lusheng Dance" with the young men and women of the Dong people. Step and sway to the rhythm of the lusheng, feeling the boldness and enthusiasm of the Dong people in the cheerful melody. Don't worry about unfamiliar dance steps; the Dong people say, "Dancing happily is what matters most!"

Bonfire Party
As night falls, the bonfire is lit, and the most lively night in Zhaoxing Dong Village begins! The Dong people sing and dance, holding hands and dancing the "Caitang Dance" around the bonfire. The firelight illuminates smiling faces, and the boundaries between strangers dissolve in the music and dance. At this moment, you will understand the saying, "Every Dong person can sing, and every Dong village is a stage."
