The Dong Village in Autumn: A Serene Escape

As autumn arrives, the holidays and festivals fade away, leaving the village in a serene state.
Entering the village feels like stepping into a rustic world, with fields being cultivated, farmers working, elderly women embroidering, and more.
The village is filled with tiled houses, and from a high vantage point, the layered sea of tiles is truly soothing to the eyes.
The village is entirely inhabited by the Dong ethnic group. Although it is a tourist destination, over 90% of the residents are locals. Interestingly, 99% of the locals share the surname Lu, and local girls rarely marry outside the village. Here's the highlight: marrying a bride here doesn't require a dowry, showcasing the simplicity and authenticity of the local people.
The village also has rice fields where you can sip coffee, daydream while gazing at the fields, stroll along the streams, or visit Tang'an to admire the terraced fields at sunset. This place is perfect for a leisurely exploration. Zhaoxing Dong Village, one of China's six most beautiful ancient villages, is definitely worth a visit.
