Experience: The bustling atmosphere of local life will instantly immerse you in local life.
Evening: After dinner, stroll along the Liujiang River and watch the musical fountain (shows at 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM each night). The river breeze is incredibly relaxing.

💡 Tips: Don't overeat on the first day. Leave some room for the fun to come!
Day 2: Breathe in the City's Green Lungs → Industrial Romance → Ancient Town Charm
Morning: Visit Longtan Park (free!). This is no ordinary park, a magnificent bonsai of karst landscapes and ethnic customs! The Wind and Rain Bridge and Mirror Mountain are photogenic, easily worthy of a National Geographic film.
Noon: Near the park or back in the city, find a long-established snail noodle shop like Gillian's or Caomei's to experience the difference between sweet and savory flavors!
Afternoon: Visit the Liuzhou Industrial Museum (free!). Be amazed by the massive locomotives and old machine tools, and learn about Liuzhou's rich history as an industrial powerhouse. The factory buildings and train tracks are perfect for retro, industrial-style photo ops.
Evening: Explore Yaobu Ancient Town. It's quiet during the day, but the lights come on when it truly shines! The ancient towers and buildings illuminate, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Rent a Miao or Zhuang costume for a photo opportunity (approximately ¥100-200) and instantly transform into a young ethnic minority girl! The ancient town is also home to many exquisite restaurants and bars.
🍜 Food Highlights: Traditional snail noodle shops, Yaobu Ancient Town's creative cuisine
📸 Photo Spots: Longtan Park Wind and Rain Bridge, Industrial Museum locomotive, Yaobu Ancient Town's night view
Day 3: Climb to the top for a panoramic view → View Liuzhou from the water → Explore the old alleys
Morning: Take the Ma'anshan Shaft Elevator (¥20 for the ascent, ¥10 for the descent) directly to the summit for a panoramic view of Liuzhou. The Liujiang River winds around the city, creating the "Pot City" spectacle. The interweaving of skyscrapers and mountains and water is truly spectacular.
Noon: After descending the mountain, head to the Qingyun Vegetable Market! Don't be surprised; this is no ordinary market; it's Liuzhou's most vibrant snack paradise!
Must-try items: Pan's bean flour steamed buns, dew-soaked rice dumplings, black rice noodles, shrimp dumplings, and various glutinous rice balls. All you can eat for 20 yuan per person!
Afternoon: Optional Experience - Choose one of two options
A. Cultural and Leisure Activities: Go to the water bus starting point (Nanche Ferry Wharf) and take a 3 yuan water bus to admire Wenhui Bridge, Panlong Mountain, and more from the river for a unique perspective.
B. Natural Wonders: Take a taxi to Dule Rock, explore the karst caves, and experience the coolness and tranquility of nature at Dule Park.
Evening: For dinner, try Liuzhou's signature cold-mixed beef offal (Xinhuihui and Tianshan Niuza are both famous). Its sour and spicy flavor is appetizing, and its crisp texture is a truly unique experience!
🚡 Highlights: Panoramic views of Ma'anshan, strolling through the Qingyun Vegetable Market, and taking the water bus
💡 Tips: Visit Qingyun Vegetable Market in the morning for a wider selection of fresher snacks. The water bus may stop running in the evening, so be aware of the times.
Day 4: A Final Taste Bud Revelry → Return with a Reward
Morning: Wake up naturally and visit that snail noodle shop you've been craving but haven't tried yet! Or, visit Qingyun Vegetable Market to catch up.
Lunch: Buy souvenirs. Try some vacuum-packed snail noodles (brands like Hao Huan Luo and Luo Ba Wang are available in supermarkets), or Liuzhou specialties like sweet chestnuts from Northwest Guangxi and Yunpian Cake.
Afternoon: Pack up and head to the airport/train station, concluding your enjoyable trip to Liuzhou.
🏡 Accommodation and Transportation Tips
Accommodation: We highly recommend the Five-Star Pedestrian Street or the Liujiang River for convenient dining, entertainment, and travel.
City Transportation: Taxis are incredibly affordable! The starting fare is 6 yuan, and taxis between city attractions typically cost 10-20 yuan. We highly recommend trying the Baojun E100/E200 (small E) time-sharing rental model. They're super cute, and parking is easy to navigate through the streets and alleys. Beginners should be cautious. 🍜 Food Hits and Hits (Blogger-Tested)
✅ Must-Tries on the Hits:
Snail Noodles: These humble old roadside shops are often the most amazing! The addition of duck feet, fried eggs, and tofu puffs is the heart of the dish!
Duck Feet in a Clay Pot: Soft and glutinous, boneless, and incredibly sour and spicy.
Stir-fried Snail Noodles: A rich, wok-cooked dish with a unique flavor.
Qingyun Vegetable Market Snacks: Experience a local breakfast routine.
Cold Beef Offal: A sour, spicy, sweet, and fragrant dish that opens the door to a new world.
❌ Tips for Avoiding Pitfalls:
If the lines at popular online restaurants are too long, don't be obsessed; Liuzhou is overflowing with delicious noodle shops.
For those with sensitive stomachs, don't order too spicy your first serving of snail noodles.
