A hidden gem town just 26 minutes from Nanjing! Only 54 yuan, grab it!

Falling in love with a city because of one person. At first, I thought it was ordinary, but now it’s a treasure town in my heart.

‼️Advice:
🌊 Tianmu Lake Scenic Area: Lower your expectations, it’s a natural scenic spot, just visit, experience, and feel it.
🐼 Nanshan Bamboo Sea: The little train is beautiful, and the experience is even better for a regular weekend trip.

🚗 Liyang has many niche and free attractions
❤️ Sharing my relaxed itinerary👇

⭕️ Highway No.1: My favorite, the most beautiful self-driving road in Jiangsu. It’s 365 kilometers long, connecting over 300 natural villages, perfect for self-driving tours in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai.

🔴 South Line (richer in cultural atmosphere, villages are relatively dense, covering most scenic spots and popular check-in stores.)
❣️ Liyang Museum: Close to the high-speed rail station, if you’re into must-visit trendy spots, you can come take a photo. Mainly about Liyang’s urban planning and exhibits.
❣️ Fang Suo Cultural Village: Jiangnan village + modern artistic architecture, large floor-to-ceiling windows perfect for photos.
❣️ Shenxi Cen Village: A village full of life vibes, great for playing with watermelon in the water during summer, super photogenic. Recommend kids bring fish nets and water guns.
❣️ Shitang Village, Guilin Village: Villages you’ll pass on the south line, small and beautiful.
❣️ Pingqiao Stone Dam: Great for photos, but it’s very high and made my legs weak from fear. After rain, you can see a waterfall.

🔴 North Line (mainly natural scenery, suitable for self-driving and camping)
❣️ Bieqiao Original Village: Personally, it’s optional. There’s a flower sea, Rice Dream Space (rice field shaped space), etc.
❣️ The Most Beautiful Sky Road: Truly a winding rainbow road reaching the sky, very similar to Qinghai’s 315 U-shaped highway. I think it’s the most stunning section of Highway No.1.
❣️ Heart of the Goddess + Goddess Lake: Vast grasslands, perfect for camping. Tree houses, roses, a lonely tree + tea garden. Highly recommended.
❣️ Daxi Reservoir: Feels like a small Erhai Lake, great for sunrise and sunset, very photogenic on the white dam. There’s a farm next door, a hidden spot for our family, you can drive right in and take kids to catch chickens, feed ducks, and catch fish.

🚗 About transportation
Self-driving is recommended. If taking the high-speed train, you can rent a car locally, which is very convenient.

🏠 About accommodation
As a Liyang local, I focus on a relaxed itinerary. I don’t have much accommodation experience to share. But one thing to say is that every attraction in Liyang is quite close to the city center, so whether you stay in the city or near the scenic spots, I personally think both are good choices.
