Accumulating merit bit by bit... This time, I had the opportunity to observe the Eight Precepts at Wat Pa Phu Thap Boek again. It's a peaceful temple with a cool, comfortable atmosphere. It's like a place to rest your body and mind. The temple holds morning almsgiving around 6:00 AM in front of the viharn, followed by a merit-making ceremony around 8:30 AM. There's a meal before 12:00 PM. After noon, there's no eating. After that, it's up to you whether you want to meditate, walk, sweep the temple grounds, or help out in front of the chapel or in the kitchen. The evening prayers are held around 7:30 PM.
***There's no charge for practicing Dhamma and observing the Precepts. Making merit depends on your faith and financial means.***
- When observing the Precepts at the temple, please bring white meditation clothes, a white sweater, a blanket, and necessary personal items.
Those who wish to observe the Eight Precepts at Wat Pa Phu Thap Boek can inform us of their date via the temple's Line open chat.
