Mountain by the lake adventure

Segara Anak is a volcanic lake located over 2,000 meters above sea level in the caldera of Mount Rinjani. The lake covers an area of 11 square kilometers and has depths of up to 230 meters. Danau Segara Anak is located in the town of Lawang Sembalun in Lombok, East Indonesia, on the west slope of Mount Rinjani. Segara Anak mean Small Ocean in English, gets its name from the mysteriously blue color of the lake.

Segara Anak rushes down a steep valley, generating a big and several lesser waterfalls. There are four natural hot springs in the lake that are claimed to have mystical healing abilities, and many people hike there simply for that reason.
