Longchang Stone Archways, the world's archways

Only 2.5h away from Chengdu, it has the largest group of archways in China! (All photos are taken with Leica M11, jpg straight out)

Note: Longchang Stone Archways are a very important type of traditional Chinese architecture. The existing stone archways from the Qing Dynasty are known as the crown of Chinese stone archways. There are a total of 17 existing stone archways and 4 stone steles, distributed in Beiguan and Nanguan of Longchang city area, with 7 in Beiguan (Daoguanping) and 6 in Nanguan (Chunniuping), and another 4 spread across corresponding villages and towns. Stone archways can also be seen occasionally in other provinces of our country, but the Longchang Stone Archways group appears in scale and in various categories, and they are exquisitely crafted, dignified in design, finely carved, well-preserved, and have profound implications.

: The Longchang Stone Archways not only encompass the four types of 'loyalty, filial piety, chastity, and righteousness' but also include the Hundred Longevity Archway, Town Mountain Archway, Mountain Gate Archway, and Ornamental Archway. Thirdly, there are archways shared by multiple people, both men and women. Most archways in the world are dedicated to one person, with a single patron, but there are three archways in Longchang that are shared by multiple people, both men and women. Therefore, by visiting the ancient archways of Longchang, you can see many different styles and types of archways.
