A 2-hour high-speed train ride from Shenzhen takes you to a beautiful cluster of traditional Hakka roundhouse homestays in Longnan, located at the border of Guangdong and Jiangxi.
We stayed at a minimalist aesthetic homestay surrounded by lush green mountains and trees.

Longnan Shuangzi Wei features five distinct homestays within one courtyard. The common areas of all five are open for guests to explore. After comparing, we chose the one with the best value and style:
**"Pusu·Island Letter"**

The staff were warm and welcoming, actively coordinating communication via group chats.
The meals, prepared by the homestay's auntie, showcased authentic Hakka farmhouse flavors with refined dishes.
Breakfast was light yet hearty, featuring Chinese-style stir-fried rice noodles with mixed grains.

The 50-square-meter room came with a comprehensive toiletry kit.
Evening turndown service and a sweet bedtime soup were thoughtful touches.

The homestay also offers handicraft experiences and costume rentals, ensuring guests never feel bored in the mountains.
The common areas are tranquil, and the café is home to a chubby little cat named Cheese 🐱.
Sitting in the courtyard daydreaming with Cheese was pure bliss.

⚠️ The homestay is a 10-minute drive from Longnan East Station but quite far from the city center.
Getting around is best suited for self-driving or arranging transfers through the homestay's partnered drivers.
⚠️ Nearby attractions include the famous **Guanxi Roundhouses** and the city center.
Both are easy to explore and great for leisurely strolls.
The historic **Hakka Ancient Fort** at the homestay's doorstep is also worth a visit.
⚠️ Other attractions further away include **Nanwudang Mountain Scenic Area**, **Yanyi Wei**, and **Yangming Xingu Valley**.

**Guanxi Roundhouses**
The world's largest Hakka roundhouse complex, holding a Guinness World Record.
A 4A-level scenic spot with a ¥60 entrance fee, located very close to the homestay.
Plenty of picturesque spots for photography.

**Longnan City Center**
Huangdaosheng Pedestrian Street in Longnan Old Town features arcade-style architecture.
For dinner, we tried the renowned Jiangxi chain **"Old Three Dishes"**.
By evening, the lights at Ping'an Yi lit up the lively atmosphere.
